Wi-Fi Calling on ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro
I purchased this phone back in January directly from ASUS after confirming that it was compatible with T-Mobile networks. When I recieved it I was surprised to find out that Wi-Fi calling is not by default provisioned for the phone when a T-Mobile SIM card is inserted into the phone. This is what the settings menu looks like when you search for Wi-Fi calling: Accessing the Testing menu by dialing *#*#4636#*#* aand going to phone information brings up this menu: Note that the slider for Wifi calling is greyed out and I am unable to put it into the ON position. So I called T-Mobile tech support and after going through the basic troubleshooting steps I was escalated to tier 2. More troubleshooting steps but I was finally able to get them to understand that the phone has to be provisioned on their end for this to work. A ticket was opened for tier 3 support to look at within 3 business days. During this time whatever tier 3 did to provision the phone worked as after day 3 I was able to move the slider to the on position after cycling the Mobile Radio Power from on to off, waiting 30 seconds, then off back to on. In the normal settings menu on the phone the option to turn on WiFi calling was now visible and selectable. I turned it on and it worked flawlessly. I was able to make and recieve calls over WiFi. However after about a month of it working I updated my phone to the latest software version and for whatever reason the option for WiFi calling was no longer available and the slider in phone information from the testing menu was back to the off position. I have been on the phone with T-Mobile tech support 5 times now asking them to re-provision the phone, but I just cant seem to get someone who understands what needs to be done. Its extremely frustrating to have to go through hours of basic troubleshooting steps every time I call only to be told its either 'out of scope' or 'contact the manufacterer' (which I have also done who confirmed this is a T-Mobile issue). As I see it, all I need is for someone in tier 3 support (who dont talk directly to customers) to press whatever button they did before to provision the phone for WiFi calling again. As far as troubleshooting goes I have done everything they have asked up to and including factory resetting the phone, twice. Has anyone had this problem with T-Mobile or have any advice on how to get ahold of someone more technologically knowledgable at customer support (i.e. tier 3)? Thanks for reading, I know it was a bit lengthy.Crobertson092 hours agoNetwork Novice389Views0likes2CommentsT-Mobile shuts down my texts and doesn't tell me!
So, this problem has happened to me twice in less than 6 months. If I send out a lot of texts in one day, T-Mobile shuts down my texting and doesn't allow me to even text my wife or daughter on the same calling plan. Their excuse is that they have software that "senses" when spam messages are being sent out. OK, so even if that was the extent of it.... it's really not. As a paying customer of T-Mobile for more than twenty years or so, I feel that of your plan is going to be restricted in any way at all, they should contact you to address this issue. However, they do NOTHING! The first time I experienced this problem I was sending out messages for a birthday party. Next thing you know its 5 days later and I still can't send a text to pretty much anyone, I had to download a texting app to contact my wife without calling her. After all those days with no texts they tell me they discovered the reason and now it'll take at least two more days with no text service. Thats right, customer service has no way to re-instate tour full contact features immediately. But they shut it down fast enough! This just happened again yesterday and its the last straw. I'm tired of being treated like this so Bye Bye! I am getting rid of this service and going to Patriot Mobile. T-Mobile sucks!!Rock260473 hours agoVisitor12Views0likes0Commentsdata roaming usage

Is there a way to request that Ski Patrol qualify for the First Responder discount? Ski Patrol qualifies for similar discounts at many stores / programs. We are essentially the EMTs of the slopes and many of us are volunteer patrollers so we aren't even paid. Thank you for your consideration!docmdmd4 hours agoVisitor5Views0likes0Comments- TrueLoveSK5G5 hours agoNewbie Caller438Views2likes4Comments
T-Mobile Cyber Security
I'm not seeing much posted here about it but this is very well the cause of problems with not being able to connect to certain known common web sites. It caused some similar problems for me. It's easy enough to disable it in the T-Life app to see if it solves your particular connection problem. You can easily turn it back on. In my case videos in a chat box on another forum didn't appear when connected to my T-Mobile Home internet. I switched off Cyber Security and they instantly appeared. I spent 3 hours the day before trying to solve it. I hope this helps someone.dwcraig16 hours agoNetwork Novice94Views0likes7CommentsGive me a Motorola Moto G Stylus 2025!
So, my list of wants are: SMS satellite connectivity. Headphone Jack. FM radio tuner. Good screen. Good speakers. At least 256GB storage. A micro SD card slot would be a nice touch. The Motorola Stylus has all of those! Why should I not get one right now?mr_l849 hours agoLTE Learner21Views0likes1CommentAutopay shutoff for no reason...

We went to our local T-Mobile store to check on the "$1000 rebate on S25". We were on a $120 a month for four lines plan, and were told it didn't qualify. As we were leaving an employee told us that he "found a plan that works"-the Go G5 55 plan for $120 for four lines (my wife and I are over 55 so we qualified). He also promised that it qualified for the $1000 per phone discount. It required sending in the phones by 3/3/25. My wife wanted to wait for the bill to be certain, but that would mean we lost the discount, so we sent them. We received the first bill today and it's for $180 a month, only $500 rebate per phone (nothing to do with quality of the returns-they are prefect but still being examined). This plan only qualifies for half. We were also offered the "Go G5 Plus 55" for $220 a month for $1000 a phone, both "offers" FAR more than the originally stated contract. We even had it "guaranteed" a second time after my wife got paranoid and called T-Mobile's customer service and "Adrian" told us that the plan MIGHT not qualify, so he suggested we return to the store. We did so, and the employee "went in the back room to talk to his regional manager" for about 20 minutes, then came out and ASSURED us that the plan DID qualify, was $120 A MONTH and $1000 rebate per phone. This is a PURE "bait and switch". We can't just go back to our old plan because now our phones are gone and T-Mobile refuses to return them. We are now stuck paying about $100 more a month when we NEVER would have upgraded the phones under that set of circumstances. As far as I can tell, this violates the Federal FTC Act as well as three CA laws: The FTC has issued a Notice that it has determined that bait and switch sales practices are unfair or deceptive trade practices, and violate the FTC Act. CA state Business and Professions Code (B&P) Section 17500: This section prohibits unfair, deceptive, or fraudulent business practices, which includes bait-and-switch tactics. California Code of Regulations, Title 4, Division 3, Article 10, False or Misleading Advertising: This section specifically addresses bait-and-switch advertising. Cal. Code Regs. . 4, § 1304.1 - Bait and Switch Advertising: This regulation outlines the specifics of unlawful bait-and-switch practices. T-Mobile REFUSED to escalate me to a manager and only gave me a PO box for their legal department. This is a HORRIBLE way to do business. it is illegal, likely criminal, and you have pissed me off enough that I now have reported it to the FTC, the FCC, and the CA State AG's office. I also know several DDAs at the Alameda County DA's office who are being consulted.TVMADoc18 hours agoRoaming Rookie348Views4likes4Comments
